Lauren Tune is a Victorian artist working across painting and sculptural vessels. Her work is led by colour, shape, pattern and texture, with a particular love of bold forms and imperfect, handmade marks.

Her current sculptural vessels are hand-built from reclaimed paper and other repurposed materials. Their imperfect forms, tactile surfaces and individual quirks are part of their character. In her paintings, Lauren explores the shapes and patterns of vessels through colour, repetition and balance, while leaving room for play.

Living near the coast in Victoria, Lauren creates work that brings colour, personality and a little joy into a space. When she’s not making art, she might be walking by the beach, teaching Spanish, doing yoga, spending time with her two black cats—or enjoying the odd spicy margarita.
